People don't care enough!

I admire the teachers and all the staff that participate in helping make County Community School a better place. When I first arrived at County Community School, I thought why is Theresa doing this. The students there are so rude, and they don't care, but Theresa handles them pretty well. After being there a few times I saw what Theresa saw in them, and it was potential. They have the potential to do well, they just need that extra encouragement, and not many people give them that. This reminded me of a part in the book Cosmopolitanism, it spoke of how the News always talk about more "exciting" issues and does not emphasize enough on how much students at schools such as County Community need more attention. If they take two minutes to discuss this on the news every now and then, I believe that it will get to the people, and people will help. Most people aren't helping these schools because they are not there to see what kind of conditions these students are in. I, personally, never thought about helping students at a school such as County Community, but after being there and seeing how things were, I felt that I wanted to do more. If each and everyone give a helping hand, I know we can make a difference. Even though its just 2 hours a week, it can really change a person's life.
